01 / ACCESS

A workspace shaped for each role.

Counters focus on counts. Financial Secretaries manage giving. Treasurers manage accounting. Pastors and Council can review the information their roles allow.

02 / OVERSIGHT

Changes leave a history.

Review corrections, add notes, and track access exceptions through separate pastoral approval. Sensitive role changes create in-app notifications.

03 / GUIDANCE

A yearly audit, one step at a time.

Follow a yearly checklist with evidence and history. Open source citations and distinguish UMC requirements from conference policy and best practices.

A FEW HELPFUL ANSWERS

Before you
begin.

Simple questions deserve clear answers.

Already part of a team?
Open your workspace
Who is StewardLift for?
Church treasurers, Financial Secretaries, offering counters, pastors, administrators, and council members who want a simpler way to work together. The initial workflows are designed around United Methodist churches.
How can our church get access?
Public workspace signup is paused. Join the waitlist with your email and optional church name; this creates no account or workspace. Existing church teams can still log in and invite people using private invitation links. Email delivery is not connected yet; waitlist details are saved for future follow-up.
Can our whole team use it?
Yes. Each invited person signs in with their own account. Roles define what they can see and do. Administrators can request access exceptions for pastoral approval, with a recorded history.
Can I use real financial or donor information?
Yes, with your church’s authorization. During beta, keep your separate official books, enter the same activity there, and regularly reconcile both systems against source documents. This parallel bookkeeping is separate from the app’s double-entry accounting. Independent security validation and production readiness remain incomplete. Keep credentials, full card or bank account numbers, Social Security numbers, and payroll tax records out. Read the beta guide and limitations.
How do MFA and account recovery work?
Enable an authenticator in My account → Security, MFA & recovery, and save your one-time MFA backup codes. A password reset keeps MFA on; administrators cannot bypass it. Automatic email delivery is not connected. Save a separate private password recovery code for a forgotten password, or ask your Master Administrator for a recovery link after an identity check. Account managers manually send verification links to the saved mailbox. The recipient must confirm the link to verify the address; generating it alone does not verify anything. The account screens explain the current status.
Does it connect to our bank or run payroll?
Bank CSV imports and reconciliation are available. Direct bank connections, workforce tools, and payroll processor integrations are planned; they are not connected in this beta.
Does UMC guidance replace our own review?
No. Guidance links to its sources and distinguishes denominational requirements, conference policy, and recommended practices. Your church should confirm current requirements with its conference. StewardLift is not endorsed or certified by The United Methodist Church.
What does it cost?
Joining the waitlist is free and requires no payment information. Subscription pricing for a future production release has not been set. No payment or billing connection is part of this beta.
Can I get our information back out?
The workspace includes report exports and backup tools. The project uses a modular codebase with a developer guide, so the long-term plan supports portability for both code and data.
